From finance to artificial intelligence, every path is a full French Licence, taught to one standard in Abidjan.
Why these fields
Economics & Management
Abidjan is where West African business is decided. The OHADA business-law court, the African Development Bank and the regional stock exchange all sit in the city. Finance, accounting, economics and marketing are the disciplines that run them.
Cybersecurity, data and artificial intelligence are the fastest-growing needs of every bank, telecom and startup in the region, and the people skilled enough to meet them are scarce. A technical Licence puts you where the demand already is.
Computer Science
Politics & Languages
Abidjan is Côte d’Ivoire’s diplomatic centre as well as its business one. The African Development Bank works here in English and French, alongside the foreign embassies, in a country bordering English-speaking Ghana and Liberia.
Your path through the Licence
L1, first year
Common core
Semesters 1 and 2 are a tronc commun: everyone in your faculty takes the same unités d’enseignement, 30 ECTS a semester. The year sets the methods and theory the later specialisation assumes, before you choose a track.
L2, second year
Specialisation
From semester 3 your teaching units narrow to a track inside your faculty. Marks are given on 20 and compensate within a semester rather than across the year, so each semester is validated on its own.
L3, third year
Professionalisation
The last two semesters put the emphasis on practice: applied project work, an internship, and a final project that pulls the three years together. You finish on 180 ECTS at Bac+3, the level a Master programme asks for.
